Washingtonians will get to see one of the world’s top bartenders in action at D.C.’s best cocktail bar when Jeff Bell takes over Columbia Room on Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 17.  The James Beard Award-nominated craft cocktail bar (124 Blagden Alley NW) will host 2013 U.S. Bartender of the Year, Bell, of New York City’s PDT (Please Don’t Tell) for a special cocktail and tasting menu curated with Columbia Room executive chef Johnny Spero. Tickets for this special two-night experience — which will replace the usual menu in Columbia Room’s signature Tasting Room — are $85 per person and can be purchased below.

ABOUT JEFF BELL

Jeff Bell is the General Manager at PDT in New York City, where he has worked since 2010. Bell started his career at Maialino in New York, where he elevated his level of service and sharpened his palate working with an extensive list of Italian wines, grappa and amari. He joined PDT, consistently ranked one of the world’s best bars, in 2010, where he became head bartender that fall and was then promoted to general manager in 2014. In 2013, Bell received the Starchefs.com Rising Star Award for New York City, was named one of Zagat's 30 under 30 for New York City and won the award for Diageo World Class American Bartender of the Year.
